Probably the last Flint built vessel sailing was the 'Mary Jones' built by David Jones in 1863. This was a three-masted schooner and was still in use when it was wrecked in 1932

A detailed account of sailing in the Mary Jones is given in the book  The last of the Sailing Coasters by Edmund Eglinton published by HSMO Books 1982 in which a whole chapter is devoted to crewing the Mary Jones with William Shaw as Skipper.
